Strand Woven Bamboo is the hardest form of Bamboo plank available.
Bamboo strands are mixed into a special epoxy glue mould using a patented technique. The result is a unique grain (very similar to Walnut or Kiaat) that is extremely durable. So durable in fact, that we even recommend it for commercial applications; restaurants, hotel lobbies and office space.
Indoor Flooring
Strand Woven Bamboo indoor flooring brings that random “wood like” grain feel to our bamboo flooring product range. When you are looking for a solid wood flooring product that will enhance the value of your home, or looking to specify a green & durable floor for your latest project, our Eco-Logic Strand Woven Bamboo flooring is the ideal candidate.
Available in light, coffee & stained, T&G installation or our unique easy to install click lock + pre-installed underlay, we have an option to suit your requirement.
Outdoor Decking
Africans love the outdoors (who wouldn’t with our excellent climate?), so we also offer an outdoor decking version of the strand woven bamboo plank, specially designed and infused with a specialised Canadian oil, for the rugged requirements of an outdoor product.
The decking plank is available with a “ribbed” side and a smooth side, suiting all tastes. We also offer a European standard anti-slip weather coating option specifically designed for those commercial decking applications where safety (you wouldn’t want anybody to slip) is of highest priority.

Eco-Logic Laminated Solid Bamboo:
Laminated solid bamboo flooring planks are made by pressing the narrow bamboo strips together. The end product is a solid bamboo flooring plank. We have a number of sizes, suited for every budget and application.
Long Plank
The “long” plank, is cross laminated to provide extra structural strength. This allows for a long and wide plank that is unique to bamboo flooring. Other solid woods do not have the structural stability of bamboo to allow planks of the same dimensions.
The length and width of this plank creates a large expansive feel with fewer joins. Thus making it very popular decor choice in corporate offices, entertainment areas, large rooms and high value homes. This unique product will truly enhance the beauty and value of your property. The long, wide boards can also stretch over an imperfect subfloor, making them a great choice for a renovation.
Short Plank
The shorter plank is ideal for smaller rooms or those looking to install a solid wood floor, with all Bamboo’s superior characteristics, but at the price of an engineered floor or laminate floor. Many clients are discovering that they no longer have to settle for a laminated floor, and can in fact afford the “real thing”.
Another popular, and very cost effective, use of the Natural short plank, is sport floors:– dance, squash, gymnasium and basketball. The superior structural strength, durability and competitive pricing of this plank makes this product a viable alternative to traditional woods used for sport floors.
Radiant Heat Plank
Wood is naturally warm under foot. That is because it is a poor conductor of heat & cold, and cold is normally transmitted through the floor from the underlying slab, so a wood floor naturally acts as an insulator. So, it takes a longer time for the underlying heat to be transmitted through standard solid wood flooring planks.
In the case where underfloor heating is required, our specially designed Radiant Heating flooring is specially designed for this type of application;
- The planks are thinner:- 10 mm, thus less insulating bamboo to heat (also narrower to ensure stability)
- There are deeper & wider grooves on the underside, specially cut to allow faster transmission of heat through the floor
- A special glue is used that is designed to cope with the rapid expansion experienced with underfloor heating systems.

Eco-Logic Solid Bamboo (Rolled out bamboo):
Our rolled out bamboo planks use a patented technique to “flatten” the bamboo pole – creating a unique bamboo flooring plank. The overall look is a wide grain bamboo looking floor pattern, as opposed to the narrower bamboo strip laminated solid bamboo planks.
As the planks are simply rolled flat bamboo poles, there is no gluing involved in their manufacture, thus they are a true zero VOC emission flooring plank. So if you are looking for that true eastern or rustic lodge look, look no further – you can even use the planks for cladding to create a really great bamboo look.
| Product | Colour | Dimensions | Options |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wide Grain Plank (T&G) | Natural, Carbonised (Coffee) | 1,960 x 58 x 18 mm | |
| Rustic Bamboo Plank (T&G) | With Bamboo Skin (Dark Green) | 1210 x 125 x 15 mm |
Finishing & Installation options
All our flooring planks are factory pre-finished with European standard 5 coats of UV coating plus an additional 2 coats of Aluminium Oxide hardener:- providing exceptional scratch and stain resistance. So there is no waiting for the finish to dry (and the accompanying smells) as is typical with other solid wood flooring installations.
For floated floors, we offer a range of flooring planks that use a combination of the UniClic click locking system on the sides of the plank + a simple T&G system on the ends. This combination makes for a quick click locking installation - saving time, materials & therefore money on an installation. In addition to this innovation, we have added a factory installed underlay directly to the flooring planks. This completely eliminates the need to install an underlay (at additional cost) before installing the flooring planks. The resultant gain is that an average installer installing 40 sqm per day of T&G flooring can install up to 200 sqm per day using our unique Eco-Logic click lock + underlay system. A phenomenal increase of 500%.
